When staying at a five-star hotel, many guests hope for special treatment, but many of their requests are quite unwelcome among hotel staff. Accordingto foreign mediareports, employees working at a top-tier five-star hotel in the UK have revealed the four things they dislike most about guests.

1. Helping yourself to mini-bar items
For a five-star hotel, the mini-bar contains over 20 different snacks and drinks. Room attendants have to push heavy carts to deliver items to each room. Unless absolutely necessary, they’d appreciate it if you brought your own food or drinks rather than taking from the mini-bar.

2. Getting angry with housekeeping staff for no reason
According to strict regulations, housekeeping staff provide cleaning services several times a day. When you don’t need your room cleaned or wish not to be disturbed, please remember to hang the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door. Hotel staff will naturally avoid knocking if they see the sign.

3. Don’t ask where celebrities are staying
Hotel staff are obligated to keep the presence of celebrities confidential. They cannot tell you who they are, which room they’re in, or even whether they are staying at the hotel.

4. Don’t make unreasonable demands
Although five-star hotels should try their best to meet guests’ needs, not all requests should be taken for granted. The hotel may help plan a perfect beach wedding, but some guests even ask to fly to Guam the next day — something that’s simply impossible.
