A Grand Exploration of Fengjia Night Market Delicacies: Instagram-Famous "One-Bite Shrimp"!

To continue building our ‘Fengjia Night Market Food Lazy Guide,’ we kept exploring the highlights under #FengjiaNightMarket on IG! (It’s really just because we love eating XD)

Unfortunately, it rained this time, so our whole mission to go to Fengjia Bento Street for the "Xixia Shrimp" still led us to share three food stalls with you all~ Apart from Xixia Shrimp, which was planned, the other two were just spots we saw and felt like trying on the way! The first one is this sizzling, fiery "Stir-Fried Spicy Crispy Intestines"!!! When the rain started falling, a lot of people were instantly drawn to it~

At first, we were just drawn in by the flames, but seeing that it was "crispy intestines," we decided to give it a try! Because we’re already huge fans of crispy intestines XD But the wait time for each serving of "Stir-Fried Spicy Crispy Intestines" is a little long—it means you have to wait at least a bit after ordering!! Despite the super high flames, there was still a bit of a wait, making us wonder what all that fiery show was about?! But thank goodness—it was super delicious! The pickled cabbage and crispy intestines were stir-fried to be both crispy and fragrant, with bold flavors! Pair it with a bowl of plain rice, and I’m totally in!!

And this "Xixia Shrimp Flagship Store" was discovered on IG! It seems to also be a new spot in Fengjia Night Market recently, with lots of people checking in~~~~ Originally, we walked back and forth without seeing it, and when the rain started, we almost gave up.

In the end, we had to use Google Maps to finally find it—right across from GUS MILK!!!!! Even with the rain, it didn’t stop the crowds. We barely managed to get a clear shot, not to mention how precarious I felt holding my camera in the rain XD

The "Xixia Shrimp Flagship Store" offers a wide variety of one-bite shrimp flavors! There’s signature salted crispy, takoyaki, Typhoon Shelter, refreshing Thai-style, white sauce with shrimp roe, honey mustard—and a total of eight flavors. And each one is priced at 100 TWD per serving~

We went with a “let’s try one” attitude and ordered the signature salted crispy one!!!!! The portion size in hand is roughly the size of a pencil case—about one per person. Inside, there are about ten or so Xixia shrimp, hot and steaming in your hand, with an aroma that’s super tempting!

The first bite made my friend immediately ask me, why did you only order one!!!! It’s super delicious~~~~ Crispy, savory, and mouthwatering—a taste that just makes you unable to stop! Plus, the size of the Xixia shrimp is just right—with meat inside, and you can even eat the shell!

For the "Xixia Shrimp Flagship Store," I’d be willing to get caught in the rain again next time (huh?! What am I saying!! XD Alright, next time I’ll buy one for myself too.

GUS MILK

This was completely because we were waiting for the "Xixia Shrimp Flagship Store" and taking shelter from the rain when we walked into GUS MILK right across from it! The cute dinosaur wall is super amusing. Originally planning to get papaya milk, I ended up switching to watermelon juice when I heard there was a discount for buying two that day~~~~

The lightly sweetened watermelon juice had a slightly slushy texture, and it was super refreshing in the mouth!!!!! If you like this kind of juice, when you come to Fengjia Night Market Bento Street, definitely try a fresh fruit juice! So cooling~
