At the inaugural flight press conference, Tigerair Taiwan CEO Kuan Hsu said the airline offers a young fleet and affordable fares, aiming to give more young people the opportunity to travel abroad. Civil Aeronautics Administration Director-General Shen Chi noted that it has been 23 years since the establishment of Mandarin Airlines, and no new airlines have been launched in Taiwan in that time. The founding of Tigerair Taiwan marks an important milestone for civil aviation.

Tigerair Taiwan announced the popular comedy duo “Hao Jiao Xiang Qi” as its annual brand ambassadors. Starting today, advertisements featuring Hao Zi and A Xiang will be heavily promoted, including print and online ads. The public can also see the “Hao Jiao Xiang Qi” backpacker taxi fleet cruising the streets and hear the duo “selling” Tigerair Taiwan on the radio—fully showcasing the airline’s new warm, sincere, and passionate vibe, leading travelers on new journeys.

Tigerair Taiwan’s in-flight meals such as “Nostalgic Spare Ribs Rice,” “Pumpkin Rice Noodles,” and “Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice” are all freshly prepared by the airline’s catering service, a big difference from the vacuum-packed meals typically used by foreign low-cost carriers. Authentic Taiwanese meal combos (main dish plus drink) start from just NT$250. The airline also offers a variety of snacks, instant noodles, sweets, and drinks for passengers to choose from and purchase freely. Additionally, unlike other foreign low-cost carriers operating in Taiwan, Tigerair Taiwan’s customer service hotline will be staffed by agents who speak fluent Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

For the aircraft livery, each plane will feature the word “Taiwan” painted on it. The livery theme is “The Leaping Heart Above Formosa’s Clouds,” combining calligraphic strokes with rounded English fonts to spell out “Taiwan,” symbolizing the brand’s positioning of international professionalism with local warmth. The outline of Taiwan is specially paired with clouds in the sky to form the shape of a “T,” representing Tigerair Taiwan’s ambition to take off from Taiwan, soar through the skies, and explore the world. In terms of color scheme, the airline’s corporate standard bright orange is used as the base to create a warm gradient, conveying Tigerair Taiwan’s brand personality of being “warm, sincere, and passionate.” This then transitions into a calm earth tone, expressing the airline’s grounded commitment to developing its roots in Taiwan.

To coincide with the inaugural flight event, Tigerair Taiwan has launched a 【Tiger Who?】 puzzle game on its official Facebook fan page. Players who score over 1,000 points and share the game will have a chance to win Singapore flight tickets (20 sets, one per set) or a 1:150 scale Tigerair Taiwan model plane (30 sets, one per set). The campaign runs from September 23 to September 28. By liking the Tigerair Taiwan fan page, participants can join the game, which can be played repeatedly—with more plays increasing the chances of winning.
