Taiwan’s Largest All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Opens — Kaohsiung LV Forest Buffet Offers 500 Dishes for Unlimited Dining

Kaohsiung has a new all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant. The LV Forest Buffet, opened by the team behind Taichung’s THE Lin Palace Garden, officially launched on July 21. Covering an area of 2,000 ping with 800 seats, it surpasses the over 1,000 ping, 600-seat Pin Hua Yuan to become Taiwan’s largest all-you-can-eat buffet. It offers lunch and dinner buffets with more than 500 dishes, including Western, Japanese, Hong Kong-style, and Thai cuisines.

Ko Kuang-lung, general manager of LV Forest Buffet, which officially opened on July 21, said that the executive chef team personally visits production areas such as Donggang and Siluo every two days to purchase fresh produce and seafood, ensuring quality and freshness. Additionally, each food station is equipped with independent kitchen facilities and dedicated chefs. Currently, the dining area features eight themed culinary stations: Western, Japanese, stir-fried dishes, Cantonese cuisine, dim sum, Thai cuisine, pastries, and pizza, offering over 500 dishes.

Seafood dishes dominate the menu. The sushi bar offers seven to eight types of sashimi and nigiri, including swordfish, salmon, salmon skin, tuna belly, tuna, wahoo, and oilfish. The live seafood station serves a variety of seafood such as blue crabs, flower crabs, white shrimp, scallops, and abalone slices, all prepared by steaming to highlight their natural flavors. Recommended dishes include Boston lobster soup made with kelp broth to enhance the lobster’s umami, salt-and-pepper red shrimp featuring Argentine red shrimp, and Thai-style sturgeon prepared with Thai flavors.

Another highlight of the restaurant is the dessert section, which offers a wide selection of sweets and Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
