Beijing’s First Urban Sightseeing BusVintage Ding-Ding CarLaunched on September 28, the ding-ding car features both a retro exterior design and staff dressed in vintage style. To address Beijing’s serious air pollution, it is specially fitted with high-end air purification equipment, aiming to provide tourists a worry-free experience while visiting 21 Beijing attractions such as the Temple of Heaven, Qianmen, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Beihai.

The exterior of Beijing’s vintage ding-ding car adopts a retro design inspired by old Beijing in 1924. To match the nostalgic look, drivers and guides wear traditional attire like Zhongshan suits and skirts, immersing passengers in scenes from 90 years ago. While the outside is classic, the interior is modern. In addition to being a new low-emission bus, the vintage ding-ding car is also equipped with technological features such as GPS positioning and WiFi. Most notably, it includes a high-end air purification system to combat Beijing’s harsh air quality.

The Beijing vintage ding-ding car comes with a guide who introduces each attraction along the route. The line passes by 21 renowned sites in Beijing, including the Temple of Heaven, the Old Beijing Tianqiao Performance Art Zone, the Qianmen commercial district known for its historic businesses, Tiananmen Square, the Palace Museum, Beihai Park, Jingshan Park, the National Museum of China, the Red Building of Peking University, and the Imperial City Wall Ruins Park. When passing certain spots, street performers even board the bus to entertain passengers, allowing them to enjoy an authentic “Beijing-style” tour without leaving the vehicle.

Sightseeing Line 1 Route:Starting from the Yongdingmen Gate Tower, the route passes by the Temple of Heaven, the Old Beijing Tianqiao Performance Art Zone, the Qianmen commercial district with its historic shops, Tiananmen Square, the Palace Museum, Jingshan Park, and returns to Yongdingmen. The total route is 15 kilometers long.

Operating Hours:From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with intervals of 8–10 minutes. Operating hours may be adjusted slightly based on peak and off-peak tourist seasons.

Ticket Pricing:Single ride ticket: RMB 10 (approx. NTD 50); day pass for multiple rides: RMB 15; three-day pass for multiple rides: RMB 30. During the trial period, only single tickets are sold. A discount of RMB 5 is available when using public transportation cards.
