Faye Wong’s $55,000 per night stay is nothing—Tinian Island invites Taiwanese travelers to stay one night for free in a $105,000 suite

Tinian Island is located 6 kilometers south of Saipan and is one of the Northern Mariana Islands. The "Star Sand Beach" (also known as Chulu Beach) at the southern tip of Tinian features rare five-pointed star-shaped sand grains found in few places around the world. Notable attractions on Tinian include one of the world’s five natural wonders—the magical natural blowholes, Star Sand Beach at the island’s northwest corner, and the 3,500-year-old Taga House ruins. The stone pillars used to construct the house are made of latte stones, one of which still stands firmly to this day, symbolizing everlasting love.

Taiwanese diva Faye Wong stayed in a $55,000-per-night presidential suite at a Taitung hotel while filming an ad in Taiwan. Meanwhile, the winning team of the "Date with Tinian Island" competition will be staying in a presidential suite valued at $105,000 per night. The winning team heading to Tinian consists of the top online vote-getters: an anti-cancer duo from Taichung; a super-close friends group where Zhao Mingyi sketched a quick portrait of Wang Zhengjie to win; and former popular online sellers Mola & Qiangqiang, who showcased their hawking skills at the competition. The winning team of the "Date with Tinian Island" competition will stay in the $105,000-per-night presidential suites. The Marianas Visitors Authority is offering six travel spots to Taiwanese travelers, with the entire luxury itinerary valued at up to NT$8 million. The Tinian Dynasty Hotel will host the six VIP guests, providing round-trip flights, presidential suite accommodations, private charter plane transfers, and professional, attentive butler services.
