Mermaid makes an appearance: H2O Waterfront Hotel Kaohsiung welcomes star power as A-Mei checks in
Last updated 2026-09-24 — The H2O Waterfront Hotel Kaohsiung, invested in by the Capital City Construction Group, officially opened yesterday (July 27). Cai Tianzan, chairman of Capital City Construction and known as the “Southern Overlord,” celebrated the event with family members and colleagues from the group. Attendees included Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor Hsu Ming-chun, Director of the Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau Tseng Tzu-wen, and CEO of Landis Hotels & Resorts Shen Fangzheng.
The H2O Waterfront Hotel Kaohsiung, invested in by Capital City Construction, is the first hotel in Taiwan to feature a full-facade digital LED screen display system. The opening event showcased a mermaid performance, presented Taiwan’s first transparent swimming pool, and enlisted the star power of A-Mei to attract guests, aiming to capture the high-end hospitality market.
