Yinhe Cave

Nestled on the mountainside at the junction of Xindian and Muzha, the unmissable hidden gem “Yinhe Cave” awaits. At an altitude of 240 meters, the Yinhe Cave Waterfall is fed by the waters of the Meizi’liao Stream, resulting in a year-round cascade that pours down like a beaded curtain. With a height difference of 40 meters, the flow may not match that of more famous sites like Wulai Waterfall, but the sound of the water seems to wash away all worldly troubles. Visiting in spring or summer offers a refreshing, cool escape from the heat, making you feel as if you’ve entered a paradise.

What makes it even more special is the Temple of Lü Dongbin built within the crevices of the cliff. The wall is inscribed with the words “Another World Awaits,” and the temple enshrines numerous deities. The view of the waterfall paired with the temple is quite unique and can be considered a natural wonder. The “Yinhe Cave Ridge Hiking Trail” belongs to the Ergeshan Mountain Range. Along the way, the scenery is lush and verdant. Walking along the small path beside the mountain wall, you might feel as though you’re in the breathtaking landscapes featured on the show “Exploring Mainland China.” However, the trail is not very easy to navigate, and it is not recommended during rainy or slippery conditions.

Transportation:
1. By car: Enter via Beiyi Highway, turn into Yinhe Road before Meishan Bridge on Section 2 of Beiyi Road, and continue until you reach Houyi Temple—the hiking entrance will be visible.
2. Public transport: Take the MRT to Xindian Station, then transfer to Green 12 bus. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Yinhe Cave Station.

Qinglifang Leisure Farm

A three-story cement traditional house nestled in the high mountains, paired with long red-brick arched walls, adds a nostalgic charm. Surrounded by dense foliage, it brings a touch of coolness in the peak of summer. The open-air 360-degree panoramic viewing platform also allows you to gaze at the beautiful landscape, making “Qinglifang” feel like a new hidden sanctuary in the Xindian District. Currently still in trial operation, Qinglifang Leisure Farm is located on the mountainside of Xindian District.

For meals, the focus is on afternoon tea. Additionally, the operator has set up an outdoor dining area at the viewing platform. The red-brick circular structure juts outward, creating the illusion of floating in the air. The seashell-decorated photo spot looks like a narrow gateway up close, but appears as a face when viewed from afar—quite interesting, and it has become a popular spot for customers to take commemorative photos.
