Besides Xinshe Flower Sea, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market in Taichung is also becoming more well-known. Especially as winter sets in, purple salvia, lilies, cosmos, and colorful balsam flowers among other vibrant blooms flourish together, creating photos with a European feel against the backdrop of Flame Mountain. It attracts crowds year-round.

Located in Houli District, Taichung, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market covers an area of 6 hectares, about the size of 8 football fields. The park offers different flowers to admire throughout the year. Tens of thousands of blooms, including salvia, sunflowers, roses, scarlet sage, cosmos, and marigolds, create a European exotic atmosphere. From the end of this month to next spring, the highly anticipated tulip season begins.

In addition to flower viewing, the park features numerous artistic installations. For example, the pink piano standing in the salvia field is a favorite photo spot for couples, offering a dreamy, drama-like atmosphere. Other picturesque spots include a crescent moon, giant birdcage, European garden, floral eN Hall dolls, and the Wedding Ceremony Garden.

The park aims to become Taichung’s mini Flower Expo. To help visitors plan their flower-viewing trips, a free sightseeing bus is available from now until January 7, 2018, during the Flower Carpet Festival. The bus runs on Saturdays and Sundays between Houli Railway Station, Lihpao Land, Star Moon Land, Taian Railway Cultural Park, and Zhongshe Flower Market.
