Home to Taiwan’s most beautiful coastline！ The 2014 Miaoli International Kitesurfing Performance Competition and Green Tourism Series will take place over three consecutive days starting October 17 around the Longfeng Fishing Port in Zhunan Township. The event will feature 55 professional kitesurfers from 11 countries coming together for an exchange. Members of the public can also enjoy the thrill of riding the waves and chasing the wind, along with activities such as hiking and unplugged concerts.

The Miaoli International Kitesurfing Performance Competition Miaoli County boasts Taiwan’s most stunning western coastline. In recent years, the Miaoli County Government has been actively promoting marine tourism to boost its visibility. It has even earned a collaboration invitation from the world-class professional kitesurfing organization KTA (Kiteboarding Tour Asia), which will host an international kitesurfing performance competition on the shores of Zhunan Town in Taiwan, along with a series of activities to promote green tourism.

The Miaoli International Kitesurfing Performance Competition is scheduled to open on the morning of the 18th, with performances beginning at 10:00 AM by World Freestyle Champion Ken Nacor and Speed World Champion Kathrin Borgwardt. On the 18th and 19th, a two-day international ranking event for twin-tip board racing will be held, featuring 55 athletes from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Norway, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Albania, and Taiwan.
