V Air, a local low-cost airline set to launch flights between Taipei and Bangkok by the end of this year, officially completed its aircraft painting today (the 13th). The plane landed at Taipei Songshan Airport around 3:30 p.m. and will be parked there in preparation for its inaugural service.

The first V Air aircraft (registration number: B-22608) features the We Bear logo on its cobalt-blue vertical tail fin, symbolizing the bear’s upcoming journey to soar the world with the spirit of Taiwan. This aircraft, newly purchased by V Air earlier this year, was leased to TransAsia Airways during the preparation period and was officially returned to V Air today after the completion of the painting.

The painting of the V Air aircraft was carried out entirely by spray painting, involving steps such as paint removal, positioning, and spraying, which took approximately one week to complete. During the process, the We Bear mascot was also present to oversee the work and ensure the quality of the paint job. According to V Air’s plan submitted to the Ministry of Transportation, the application for operational approval has entered the verification stage, and the airline is expected to officially join Taiwan’s low-cost aviation market by the end of the year, launching its first flight to Bangkok, Thailand.
