You don’t have to wait for your honeymoon to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the blue sea and sky. Netizen Vvn shared her experience of booking budget airline flights to the Maldives in the travel group"Travel So Much Fun!"Not only were the flight times decent, but the tickets only cost 15,000 NT, offering more budget-friendly travel options for readers planning a getaway.

Vvn said she took a flight with Tigerair (now Scoot after the merger), which she was already familiar with. Although the timing wasn’t perfect, having a longer layover in Singapore allowed her to visit two countries in one trip. She chose an afternoon flight from Taipei, then flew from Singapore to Male Airport the next day, arriving around 8 PM. The return flight left Male Airport at night, made a brief stop in Singapore, and arrived back in Taipei in the afternoon. While the flight times weren’t ideal, they weren’t red-eye flights either, and the price was relatively low—28,892 NT for round-trip tickets for two people, including 25 kg checked baggage, averaging less than 15,000 NT per person, nearly half the price of traditional airlines.

Vnn also suggested that if you want more flexible timing, you could spend a bit more to take a flight arriving in Male during the day, allowing you to head straight to your hotel. Since most hotels in the Maldives require a boat or speedboat transfer, daytime arrivals offer better opportunities to enjoy the scenery. For travelers on a tighter budget, you could arrive at Male Airport at night, stay at an airport hotel or on Male Island, and use the next day to explore the city.
