Travelers in southern Taiwan are in luck！ Thai Smile Airways will begin operating flights from “Kaohsiung to Bangkok” starting in October. Tickets can be booked on the Thai Airways website from today, with flights departing in the afternoon and returning early in the morning—offering a new travel option for future visitors from southern Taiwan heading to Thailand.

According to the Thai Airways website, starting in October, flights will operate between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and Kaohsiung, with seven round-trip flights per week. Initially, the services will be operated by Thai Smile Airways, a low-cost carrier under Thai Airways, using A320-200 aircraft with a total of 162 seats. Flights will depart from Kaohsiung at 15:20 and from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi at 10:00. Bookings are currently available for the period from October 1 to October 28, with the winter schedule yet to be announced.

Currently, only China Airlines operates flights between Kaohsiung and Bangkok. With the addition of Thai Smile Airways in October, travelers from southern Taiwan will have more choices.
