A beef noodle shop opened by Yilan’s firefighting heroes offers love meals for those in need!

“Firefighter Beef Noodles” — what a unique name!! I saw this info on a friend’s Facebook page and got a strong recommendation from her, so we came to eat here even during a typhoon!! It turns out the owner of Firefighter Beef Noodles really does have a background as a volunteer firefighter, which explains the cool name!! But whether the name is special or not, what matters most is that the food tastes great!! At least it really suited our taste. BEN loves beef noodles. Among the 13 beef noodle shops he likes in Yilan, this one is definitely in the top tier!!

This shop is located at the intersection of Hemu Road and Fuxing Road in Yilan City!! About next to the county police station, roughly at a triangular intersection, very easy to find!! There are also parking spaces nearby for your convenience.

In the rush, I forgot to take pictures of the interior (because Typhoon Nesat was approaching), the shop isn’t big, just a few tables, but the environment is quite clean, and there’s air conditioning!!! Which is super important in the summer!!

But they keep promoting their love meal beef noodles here~ which is really commendable.

The menu mainly includes scallion-braised and stewed series, with options for thick or thin noodles, plus lamb soup and sesame oil chicken soup (winter-only).

The stewed vegetable & fruit beef noodles — the broth is really good!! Mild, refreshing, with a sweet note from the veggies and fruit, Jean loved it.

We both went for the chewier type of noodles, which feel quite similar to Taiwanese-style ramen in texture.

The beef chunks are pretty big too!! Tender yet still with some bite!!

This bowl is scallion-braised wonton beef noodles!! Ben loves trying new things and specially ordered the version with wontons, though it costs ten more dollars.

The scallion-braised broth is relatively richer, but still full of flavor!!

Also, one of their popular noodle dishes (Spicy) Wonton & Offal Ramen, over 500 (Yuan?), limited to Yilan City and available for delivery. Anyway, all in all, it’s a pretty great Firefighter Beef Noodles, recommended for friends who love beef noodles!! Currently this beef noodle shop is among the top ones in Yilan in my opinion!!
