Due to weaker-than-expected tourism in the Hsinchu area and continuously rising operating costs, Hsinchu The Miramar Hotel has been operating at a loss in recent years,The board of directors of The Miramar Hotel Group decided at its meeting on the 9th to terminate the operations of the Hsinchu branch. Although Hsinchu The Miramar Hotel will be closing, The Miramar Hotel Group will focus on operating Taipei The Miramar Garden Hotel.

Hsinchu The Miramar Hotel officially opened in 2013. The hotel is located right next to the Gongdao 5th Road Interchange in Hsinchu City. It takes only a 5-minute drive via National Freeway No. 1 to reach the Hsinchu Science Park, and just 40 minutes to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Targeting international business travelers traveling to and from the Hsinchu area, the hotel has a total of 114 guest rooms, including 10 suites designed with high-ceiling duplex layouts.
