Legendary Michelin-starred Parisian chef to make a guest appearance in Taiwan, with cooking classes available

Le Taillevent, a legendary two-Michelin-starred restaurant located on Paris’s Champs-Élysées, is also known as the guardian of traditional French cuisine and served as the inspiration for the movie *Ratatouille*. The Grand Hyatt Taipei has invited the restaurant’s chef, Alain Soliverès, to be a guest chef at its Le Bistro Restaurant from September 6 to 8. A special “Michelin Cooking Class” will also be held on September 5, where the chef will share cooking techniques and secrets from Michelin-starred restaurants.

Le Taillevent, renowned for its refined “classic yet modern French cuisine,” is located in a prime spot in Paris’s 8th arrondissement. With nearly 70 years of history, it is the longest-standing Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, frequented by political figures, business elites, and celebrities. Chef Alain Soliverès, who has been specially invited this time, brings over 30 years of culinary experience and has served as the sixth head chef of Le Taillevent since 2002.

On September 5, the Michelin Cooking Class will be personally led by Chef Alain Soliverès, featuring live demonstrations of three dishes, including the making of signature bread, a hot appetizer demonstration and tasting, and dessert preparation. The class will be held once in the morning and once in the afternoon, with only 15 VIP spots available per session at NT$3,500 per person. From September 6 to 8, during Chef Alain Soliverès’s guest appearance at Le Bistro Restaurant, the lunch set (including four wine pairings) is priced at NT$4,800 + 10%, and the dinner set (including six wine pairings) is priced at NT$8,800 + 10%.
