Located in Houpi, Tainan, the Elegant Farmer Art & Culture Farm is the brainchild of a group of young artists. To promote rural culture and infuse art into the countryside, they transformed idle old houses and abandoned factories into a one-of-a-kind dining space and garden area. All the ingredients used in their meals come from fresh produce supplied by local Taiwanese farmers. For example, the lotus root, which is in season during summer, is made into a limited-time lotus root ice porridge.

Stepping inside the Elegant Farmer Art & Culture Farm feels like entering a painting by Van Gogh. Artist Wang Guoren has painted every corner of the interior with fantastical colors, and the 3D illusion art blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Each room has a different color scheme and theme, allowing visitors to choose their favorite spot to dine after ordering on the first floor.
