Travel agencies have launched “Seven Most Popular Taiwanese Attractions Loved by Locals,” featuring hot New Year’s Eve destinations such as Qingjing, Aowanda, sunrise at Alishan, and watching the first light at Sanciutai. The cheapest options start from just NT$2,999. HowToTrip estimates that the New Year’s travel rush will boost domestic tourism performance by over 30%.
