In the movie *The Maze Runner*, the massive stone-walled labyrinth left a deep impression. In fact, right in downtown Taitung, there’s a “miniature moving maze.” Step into this stone-walled maze taller than a person, and every turn might bring a different surprise. This miniature moving maze is located within the National Museum of Prehistory. The National Museum of Prehistory is Taiwan’s first museum dedicated to prehistoric and indigenous cultures. It combines a museum, archaeological site, and natural ecological park, allowing visitors to clearly understand Taiwan’s geological and ecological changes in prehistoric times, regional developments across Taiwan, and the long-preserved cultural traditions of indigenous peoples. With accessible narratives, it naturally brings visitors back in time. The museum also features an entire wall representing indigenous women’s weaving, which is particularly memorable.
