Minimalist all-white and super photogenic—Anping’s white-themed container café in Tainan

Fashionistas, get going—Anping has an all-white container café too~

These past couple of days, near my usual breakfast spot, I spotted this all-white ARA Coffee. I’m not sure how long it’s been open, but it looks quite new. Especially in this area full of high-rise residential buildings, it stands out as a rather unique presence. The all-white container also fits perfectly with the current trend of photo-friendly backdrops. Thinking I still had my weekly coffee quota to use up, I decided to give it a try.

ARA Coffee is located on Health 3rd Street in Anping, Tainan, surrounded by Tainan’s fifth-phase residential area. It’s not far from Yidejin City and the Deyang Ship Cultural Park. Since it’s in the opposite direction from where I usually walk, I only just discovered it these past two days. The two all-white containers look quite pretty against the blue sky and white clouds, and they’re not just placed plainly—there are also small stone landscaping features on both sides.

Just a heads-up: the address on the café’s Facebook page seems to be incorrect—it won’t lead you there if you use it for navigation. Just search directly for No. 81, Health 3rd Street, Anping District, Tainan City (7-11 Kangping Branch), which is right next door.

The interior is also lovely, sticking to the same bright white theme. Moreover, the side of the container has large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light, creating a bright and pleasant atmosphere. It feels refreshing to come here early in the morning for a cup of coffee.

But hey!! But hey!! The chairs in the shop are nice to look at, but not so comfortable to sit on—especially for someone like me with a sturdy lower body. But you all are probably all slim, so it might not be an issue.

The friendly staff introduced their own brand of coffee. The black and white cups are clearly printed with a vivid logo—sleek and attractive.

The menu is simple, featuring only coffee, and all the beans used in the café are roasted in-house. They also sell beans individually, so you can take some home if you find one you like.

That day, I tried a homemade brown sugar latte ($80 NTD). I didn’t open the lid, but I could faintly see what looked like latte art. The taste was mild and smooth—a flavor that’s widely appealing. It was delicious~

Sipping coffee slowly while enjoying the air conditioning, the sweltering 35°C heat outside might as well not exist. It would actually be nice to spend an afternoon here if the café had a few magazines or newspapers on hand.

Overall, ARA Coffee gives off a fresh and minimalist vibe. The simple yet distinctive black and white color scheme makes you want to pick up your camera and snap a few photos to share online.
