Guanziling Hot Springs in Tainan Launches Free Walking Tours in November

As autumn arrives and temperatures gradually drop, the annual hot spring season is back. Starting November 1, Guanziling Hot Springs in Tainan will offer free urban walking tours of the “Guanziling Hot Spring Town Stroll,” part of the Tainan Michelin Three-Star Journey, every Saturday from 2–4 PM and every Sunday from 9–11 AM.

Since launching the Tainan Michelin Three-Star Journey “Historic Walk of the Old City – Chihkan Line and Confucius Temple Line” in July 2011, the Tainan City Tourism Bureau has attracted large numbers of visitors to explore the old city. It has since introduced the “Anping Old Street Tour” and the “Five Channels Old Town Stroll – Starlight Line and Sunlight Line.” In September, the “Yanshui Yuejin Harbor Stroll” was officially launched. With the upcoming “Guanziling Hot Spring Town Stroll” in November, there are now a total of seven guided tour thematic routes.

The “Guanziling Hot Spring Town Stroll” guided route begins at Lingding Park (Dacheng Hall), passing through Wu Jinhuai Square → Erjiewan Viewpoint → Hot Spring Valley Viewpoint → New Heroes’ Slope → Baoquan Outcrop → Idle Cloud Bridge → Hot Spring Old Street → Sky Ladder → Fire King God Sacred Spring (Outcrop) → Fire King God Temple → Heroes’ Slope, and finally loops back to Lingding Park (Dacheng Hall) as the endpoint of the stroll.

The meeting point for this walking tour is Lingding Park (Dacheng Hall). Visitors can take a direct Kaohsiung Bus (Chiayi Bus) from Chiayi to Guanziling, or first take a train to Xinying and then transfer to the Greater Tainan Trunk Bus – Yellow Trunk Line (board at the bus stop directly opposite Xinying Railway Station) to Baihe, followed by Bus Routes Yellow 12 or Yellow 13 to reach the destination.
