Last updated 2026-11-08 — Roast pork has always been a lingering love in my heart, especially roast duck legs. As long as I know that there is delicious roast duck leg there, it's hard for me not to fly there immediately. Besides, I heard a saying: "Don't say you are from Xinzhuang if you haven't eaten here. Don't say you went to Fuzhou University."

,.As long as I know there’s delicious roast duck leg there, I can hardly resist flying there immediately, especially since I’ve heard people say, “If you haven’t eaten here, you can’t call yourself a Xinzhuang resident, and you can’t say you’ve studied at Fu Jen University.”BUT... I’ve kept this place in my pocket for years... ever since it was recommended by my very picky foodie friend from the Tiger Head Gang. The reason I didn’t go isn’t because I didn’t trust his recommendation, but rather “Xinzhuang” has always felt inexplicably far to me... plus I was once scared off after seeing two unusually long lines...

,,“”,,,.In the end, I weakly followed the guy before me and ordered the same “Sanshoku Meshi”… and as usual, I added a “roast duck leg.”The so-called three roasted items refer to grilled pork, char siu (barbecued pork), and roast duck. The owner says you can also request to increase the portion of one of them — meaning getting more of it — and of course, you could ask to increase all three if you like.

,.I absolutely love the texture of the meat—it's tender, juicy, and perfectly sweet. The savory richness of the sauce doesn't overpower the inherent sweetness of the meat after chewing. It’s ridiculously delicious, easily one of the best honey-glazed char siu (bbq pork) I’ve had in recent times. Even better, the meat isn’t dry, and the sauce isn’t greasy. But, of course, it still needs to be paired with white rice, just like Japanese wagyu beef or grilled meat.

,.First, the skin is my favorite type—crispy and flaky, slightly oily, with a delightful aroma reminiscent of childhood memories of pork cracklings. The meat itself is about 60% fat and 40% lean, with a semi-rendered texture and the accompanying sweet richness from the fat, plus a tender, juicy mouthfeel that’s not dry at all. It’s truly deliciously messy, well-deserving of being the signature dish—I absolutely love it!<\/p>

,.As soon as this roast duck leg was served, I gave it a 100. It’s just so huge... And its shiny appearance and glistening sauce made me swallow three big gulps of saliva before I even picked up my camera.

Why has this shop become a favorite check-in spot for Japanese internet beauties? It’s because the shop features “petal cakes” that drive girls crazy!(/)" width="600" height="398"/>

,,.The fat under the skin is incredibly rich, and the duck meat itself is surprisingly not dry at all, but rather tender and soft. Purely in terms of texture, I’m very satisfied, though the sweetness of the fat is slightly lacking. But of course, if you’re someone who doesn’t like greasy food, you might have a different opinion...But that’s just me being nitpicky... finding fault where there is none... never mind, forget it.
