Okura Prestige Taipei Buffet Gets an Upgrade: Free Live Abalone Dish with Lunch and Dinner

In addition to the abalone dish, classic à la carte items from The Okura Tokyo will also be available unlimited, including the Duck Pot Pie, Xi-style Beef Sirloin Wrapped in Pastry with Red Wine Sauce, Seafood Puff Pastry with Cream Sauce, and Duck Liver and Beef Dumplings with Blueberry Sauce.

In response to fierce competition in the buffet market, the Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel located in the Zhongshan shopping district will offer a complimentary live abalone dish—valued at NT$1,000—during both lunch and dinner periods from August 16 to 31. In addition to the abalone dish, classic à la carte items from The Okura Tokyo will also be available unlimited, including the Duck Pot Pie, Xi-style Beef Sirloin Wrapped in Pastry with Red Wine Sauce, Seafood Puff Pastry with Cream Sauce, and Duck Liver and Beef Dumplings with Blueberry Sauce.

The European-style buffet at Okura Prestige Taipei’s buffet restaurant is specially launching the “Chef’s Gourmet Selection” promotion from August 16 through the end of September. Diners enjoying lunch or dinner during this period will receive a complimentary “Chef’s Gourmet Selection” dish created by the hotel’s Japanese head chef, Akihiko Arai. From August 16 to 31, the first featured item is a freshly prepared live abalone worth NT$1,000, served in French-style consommé. Upcoming selections will include Boston lobster, Hiroshima-style fried oysters, and Kagoshima black pork dishes.
