HowToTrip’s Deluxe Capsule Hotel Debuts – Single Suites Also Feature Private Bathrooms

The newly opened Gumo Boutique Hotel in 2017 is located in a bustling school district, adjacent to the Guting, Gongguan, and Da’an Park commercial areas. It’s just a 15-minute walk to the lively Yongkang Street, popular with international visitors. The hotel has created a premium version of micro-sized “capsule hotel” rooms, setting itself apart from typical design-oriented boutique hotels that attract foreign tourists with Chinese aesthetics.

Gumo Boutique Hotel operates a total of four properties. The Guting branch officially commenced operations in August this year, just a 10-minute walk from Guting MRT Station and close to Taipei’s vibrant school district attractions. It’s convenient for visiting the Guting Night Market or enjoying food on Yongkang Street. The primary clientele includes backpackers, international students, and academic groups. The hotel has 92 rooms in total, offering not only standard double and quad suites but also fully equipped deluxe single suites.

Stepping into the single mini-suite, you’ll find a bed, bathroom, and TV – all the essentials, making it feel like a premium version of a capsule hotel. Depending on the layout, the beds are either upper or lower bunks, but each suite has its own private bathroom. This provides budget-conscious travelers who don’t want to stay in hostels with another option, allowing solo travelers to Taiwan to enjoy a hotel-quality accommodation experience.
