Golden rice fields along Taitung’s Brown Highway to undergo traffic control from November

The 175-hectare expanse of golden rice paddies in Chishang Township, Taitung County, has become a popular tourist attraction in recent years. However, as it enters the peak harvesting season starting in November, to prevent excessive motor vehicles from disrupting farmers’ work, Taitung County Government has announced traffic control measures from November through March next year. Motor vehicles will be prohibited from entering the area, and visitors are asked to cooperate.

Location: Follow Provincial Highway 9 and turn onto County Road 197 to reach Brown Highway.
