Taipei Metro and Tokyo Metro collaborate for the first time across borders – Exchange your passport for a limited-edition Japanese towel

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation has teamed up with Tokyo Metro in Japan for the first time to launch the “Enjoy METRO – Ride and Get Gifts PRESENT CAMPAIGN.” From November 4 to December 31, 2014, Taiwanese travelers visiting Tokyo, Japan, will have the chance to receive one limited-edition, beautifully crafted small gift.

According to Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, this “Enjoy METRO – Ride and Get Gifts PRESENT CAMPAIGN” giveaway is the first cross-border marketing collaboration between a domestic metro system and Tokyo Metro in Japan. Taiwanese travelers only need to visit the commuter pass ticket office at Ginza Station on Tokyo Metro in Japan, show their Taiwanese passport and the Facebook event share screen on their electronic device (such as a smartphone or tablet), and Tokyo Metro will give each traveler one handkerchief printed with the words “Tokyo Metro.” A total of 2,000 handkerchiefs will be given away.

Japanese travelers visiting Taipei can also exchange for one “24-Hour Ticket for Taipei Metro” in the same way at the information counter at Zhongshan Station on Taipei Metro, with a total of 2,000 tickets to be given away.
