The persimmons are red！ The Miaoli Tai’an Sweet Persimmon Promotion Weekend is Here

Miaoli’s Tai’an Township has entered its sweet persimmon season. Combining local tourism and Indigenous culture, the “Snow Mountain Sweet Persimmon & Agricultural Culture” promotional event will be held at Miaoli County Government starting November 1 to promote Tai’an sweet persimmons and the culture of the Atayal people.

The sweet persimmons in Tai’an are mainly of the “Fuji” variety, grown in mountainous areas at altitudes of around 800 to 1,200 meters. The fruit is crisp and sweet, with a sugar content of over 12 degrees. This year, the focus of tourism will be on “Snow Mountain Sweet Persimmons,” “natural landscapes,” and “Indigenous culture.” A series of activities will kick off on November 1 at the Atayal Cultural Industry Park and on November 2 at the Shilin Dam Plaza. Traditional Atayal songs and dance performances will also be part of the events, allowing visitors to enjoy the sweet persimmons while immersing themselves in rich Atayal culture.
