The Off-Season Matsu Travel Benefits campaign is back and better than ever!The Matsu National Scenic Area Administration has once again launched the second phase of the “Ka-Matsu Leisure, Mazu in Matsu Eco-Tourism Subsidy” program. Taiwanese travelers can receive a travel subsidy of NT$500–NT$1,000 per person by forming groups of five or more, making off-season trips to Matsu even more effortless!!

The second phase of the “Ka-Matsu Leisure” program runs from November 1, 2014, to April 30, 2015 (completion of the trip is required). Taiwanese citizens simply need to form groups of five or more, apply through a licensed travel agency following the proper procedures to the MNSAA, and each person will be eligible for a travel subsidy of NT$500–NT$1,000. In line with the Tourism Bureau’s initiative to promote international travel to Taiwan, international visitors and tourists from Mainland China are also eligible for a subsidy of NT$2,000 (limited to 10,000 Mainland Chinese visitors), allowing them to experience the unique Minnan-style leisure vibe distinct from Taiwan’s main island.
