Li Peizhen, brand marketer and co-founder of Succulent & Gift,shared that this Qixi’s highlight is the succulent duo “How Lovely to Have Soil.” The pots feature soft, muted “romantic ambiguous tones” that don’t overpower the plants—indescribable but perfect for Valentine’s. Customers can DIY their own succulent arrangements or ask staff for help. For Qixi, they’ve selected reddish varieties like Echeveria Gibbiflora and Crassula ‘Sakura Fubuki,’ or opt for another Qixi item, the “Cat & Baozi” set. Available online or in-store, with the option for same-day delivery to your loved one when ordered online.

Co-founder GP demonstrated DIY potting on-site, giving a peek into the process so you can try it at home. It’s simple: first, gently remove the plant from its nursery pot (aka “de-potting”) and clean the roots. Then roughly arrange your desired layout—choose succulents from the same family (e.g., same watering needs) but with contrasting shapes. After deciding placement, add a layer of expanded clay pebbles, then succulent soil (well-draining, expert-formulated after years of research). Insert plants, cover with soil, and finish with a layer of red jade stone (darkens when wet to indicate moisture).
