Head to Caoling Historic Trail to admire autumn snow—The Northeast Coast Miscanthus Festival kicks off officially on November 1

After entering November, it’s once again the season to admire miscanthus flowers. From today (November 1) to November 30, the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration, under the Tourism Bureau, is hosting the 13th “2014 Caoling Historic Trail Miscanthus Festival – Seeking Autumn and Dancing with Wind-blown Miscanthus” at Caoling Historic Trail.

This year’s Miscanthus Festival centers around the “three treasures of Caoling Historic Trail”—the historic trail, the wind, and the miscanthus flowers—showcasing the image of miscanthus swaying in the wind. The administration stated that besides being able to participate in lucky draw and challenge activities with the event DM this year, there will also be events during public holidays such as the Dali Tian Gong Temple’s peace porridge for blessings, tea service at the inn, rubbing rubbings DIY, as well as activities like the appearance of greenwood heroes and learning about miscanthus flower ecology.

To alleviate crowds, the event has also planned two shuttle bus routes: from Fulong to Yuwangkeng and from Dali Visitor Center to Fulong Visitor Center. Additionally, in special collaboration with bicycle vendors, visitors can rent bicycles at the Dali Visitor Center and return them in Fulong, offering more diverse options for travelers.
