The Hong Kong Tourism Board has announced the launch of its new brand promotion theme “My Time For...”, combining four unique brand DNAs of Hong Kong — endless excitement, fascinating contrasts, diverse intensity, and cutting-edge trends. A series of promotional videos will be released to offer travelers an insider’s perspective on experiencing Hong Kong in a way they’ve never seen before. The videos will premiere at the Taipei International Travel Fair on November 7, where the Hong Kong Pavilion will also unveil three-day-two-night packages starting from NT$7,888 (tax included), in conjunction with the upcoming Hong Kong WinterFest and a brand-new 3D light show.

Many consumer insight reports show that travel is no longer just about sightseeing. More and more people are seeking deep, immersive experiences. Shyu Wei-ni, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s Taiwan Office, stated that Hong Kong tourism is focusing on promoting in-depth experiences beyond conventional itineraries, with the goal of attracting more repeat visitors. The series of “locals guiding the way” experiential marketing efforts — including videos, online activities, and mobile apps — are all designed to help travelers experience the most authentic side of Hong Kong.
Additionally, the “Hong Kong, My Smart Trip” mobile app and the “Calling All Fun Engineers” Facebook campaign offer unique engagement opportunities. The app not only provides basic features like photojournaling and trip journaling, but also allows users to plan itineraries on both desktop and mobile platforms, with the ability to share and discuss travel plans with companions. Meanwhile, the Facebook campaign invites users to design creative itineraries, with a chance to win a four-day-three-night New Year’s trip to Hong Kong. The prize includes round-trip flights for two, three nights at a five-star hotel, a helicopter tour over Victoria Harbour, and VIP seats to watch the iconic Victoria Harbour New Year’s Eve fireworks.
