Yunnan’s Traditional Chinese Website Goes Live – Explore Three Golden Routes & Win a Free Trip

Due to its varied terrain and border location, Yunnan boasts diverse climates and cultural environments. To promote local tourism in Yunnan, Liu Ping, Advisor to the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, led a delegation to Taiwan to hold a tourism briefing and launched the Traditional Chinese version of the Yunnan Tourism website. In addition to providing travelers with the latest Yunnan travel information, the launch event also includes an online raffle, with the top prize being a free trip to Yunnan.

Beyond the well-known Kunming-Dali-Lijiang route, Yunnan also features famous attractions such as Tengchong, Xishuangbanna, and Shangri-La, which hold unique appeal for travelers interested in natural scenery and historical culture. According to data from the Yunnan Provincial Government, 590,000 Taiwanese tourists stayed in hotels in Yunnan within a year.

To continuously provide Taiwanese travelers with the latest Yunnan tourism information, the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Bureau established the Colorful Yunnan Traditional Chinese Tourism website today (November 4) in Taiwan. The website also features a quick quiz event, with prizes including free Yunnan trips, bicycles, meal vouchers, and other gifts.

Liu Ping stated that due to its terrain and geographical location, Yunnan has four major characteristics:diverse natural landscapes, vibrant ethnic cultures, varied climates, and a strong exotic charm.This results in natural features such as plateaus, limestone formations, and hot springs, as well as 26 ethnic groups and climate types ranging from temperate to alpine, enriching the content of Yunnan travel.

Liu Ping also pointed out that the three most popular golden routes currently are:Kunming–Pu’er–Xishuangbanna, Kunming–Dali–Lijiang, and Kunming–Stone Forest–Alu Ancient Cave,each offering its own unique beauty and experiences. Considering Taiwanese tourists’ travel habits and local temperatures, Liu Ping also recommends that Taiwanese visitors travel to Xishuangbanna during autumn and winter, and to Shangri-La during spring, summer, and autumn, allowing them to enjoy seasonal natural scenery and the most comfortable travel climate.
