"Flights to launch before Christmas!" Tigerair Taiwan starts selling tickets in mid-November; seat selection fee just NT$90

According to Tigerair Taiwan, the airline's approval process has entered the final stage. It is expected to officially launch the Taipei–Bangkok route in the week before Christmas (December 15–20) and plans to open ticket sales to the public in mid-to-late November.

Tigerair Taiwan offers three different types of seats on its flights:Bear Normal,Bear Want Close, andBear Big Seat. Among them, Bear Big Seat is located near the cabin door, offering more legroom, with a seat selection price of around NT$400; Bear Want Close refers to seats in the front section of the plane; Bear Normal is near the rear of the aircraft, with a seat selection price of NT$90. Compared to Tigerair Taiwan’s seat selection fees, which range from NT$125 to NT$700, Tigerair Taiwan’s "seat selection fee" is nearly 30–50% cheaper.

Ms. Huang, who frequently travels with low-cost airlines, said that although low-cost airline tickets are cheap, seat selection, checked baggage weight, and meals all come at additional costs. The total price must be considered to determine whether a low-cost airline is truly "low-cost," so every dollar counts.

Tigerair Taiwan also stated that in addition to launching the Taipei–Bangkok route in mid-December, it plans to launch Northeast Asia routes between April and May next year. The initial targets are tentatively set asJeju IslandorBusanin South Korea, followed by routes to Japan.
