New Taipei City’s Water Ripple Park Wedding Plaza Opens, Offering a New Spot for Bridal Photos

The New Taipei City Government officially launched its new themed area “Water Ripple Park – Wedding Plaza” in the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park along the Erchong Floodway on the 10th. On that day, 99 newlyweds or soon-to-be-wed couples shared their happy moments with the public, providing local residents with a convenient new option for wedding photos without having to travel long distances.

The Wedding Plaza features a 2.6-hectare sea of flowers, including cosmos, sunflowers, and sage. In addition to a mobile chapel, the park also showcases beautifully designed installations such as “Butterflies in Flight” symbolizing lovebirds, swan-shaped “Two Hearts United,” the diamond landscape “Eternal Promise” representing everlasting vows, the romantic “Love Phone Booth” for sweet nothings, and the “Castle of Love” where couples can change outfits.

Additionally, the Gu Ting Riverside Park along the Tamsui River has also been transformed into a wedding-themed riverside park by the Taipei City Water Department earlier this year. New features include heart-shaped arches, large red Chinese characters for “double happiness,” festive musical bands, double-heart silhouette sculptures, and a LOVE sign to enhance photo backdrops.
