Sleep next to a 20-story-high waterfall, stroll among 6,000 king penguins, stand at Earth’s “lowest point,” or take a walk through ice tunnels... This list of things you can do in Antarctica may be among the most coveted experiences of many people’s lives.

Patrick Woodhead, owner of White Desert, an adventure travel company specializing in Antarctica, is himself an Antarctic adventurer. The company designs journeys tailored to the region, including activities such as abseiling, kite skiing, and rock climbing — they even own their own plane.

Travelers booking an Antarctic trip will be flown out in a private plane from Cape Town, South Africa. The aircraft is spacious and comfortable, with an in-flight chef preparing meals — ensuring flight quality remains top-notch despite the remote destination. Past clients of “White Desert” include Britain’s Prince Harry, billionaire entrepreneurs, members of the Jordanian royal family, and even Saudi Arabian princesses who had “never seen snow before.”

The latest-tech “sleeping pods” are made of ultra-strong fiberglass, with heating and even warm air inside. They offer beds for couples or solo travelers, as well as washing areas, toilets, showers, and dining zones. Although the journey is incredibly expensive, “White Desert Travel” adheres to a strict “zero-pollution policy”: powering daily tent operations with solar energy.
