Want to explore Gaomei Wetlands more deeply? It’s about to get even easier! With the recent completion and opening of the new Gaomei Wetlands Visitor Center parking lot, three Taichung City bus routes—111, 178, and 179—have added a “Gaomei Wetlands Visitor Center” stop effective immediately, allowing travelers to go directly to Gaomei Lighthouse and the wooden boardwalk.

The Taichung City Department of Transportation stated that bus routes 111, 178, and 179 originally stopped at “Gaomei Bicycle Path” and “Intersection of Gaomei Haikou South Road” respectively. With the opening of the new visitor center parking lot, a “Gaomei Wetlands Visitor Center” stop has been added. Visitors heading to Gaomei Wetlands can take buses 178 or 179 from Qingshui Railway Station or downtown Qingshui for direct access to the wetlands boardwalk and lighthouse; alternatively, they can take bus 111 to reach Wujhou Fishing Port, Aofengshan Park, and the Harbor Art Center.
