Last updated 2026-11-08 — This resort was once the favorite home of a prince in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Every time he returns here, he feels like he’s in a paradise on earth. The rooms are very spacious and elegant, each one generously sized with Thai-style daybeds by the windows.

The white buildings paired with blue pools create a relaxing vibe, nothing like the feeling of being in downtown Chiang Mai. The rooms are very spacious and elegant, each one generously sized with Thai-style daybeds by the windows.

The bathroom color scheme also goes for a cozy, warm feel~

Just open the window, and you’ll see the white bathtub—you can enjoy a bath while watching TV~ Step out onto the balcony, and though there’s no view, looking down you’ll see the pool~

It’s called a SPA RESORT because Rarinjinda started as a spa brand. It has chain spa branches in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and other locations. Let’s Relax is also owned by the same company (though Let’s Relax is more budget-friendly).~

The photo below shows the indoor massage pool at Rarinjinda Spa.

Getting a spa treatment here also includes a consultation with a professional doctor who will recommend the most suitable spa program for you. The deluxe rooms are also tastefully designed with a romantic Thai style.

A top-notch spa room isn’t complete without a massage tub~

The prince’s spa villa this time was located on the top floor of the building, complete with a small outdoor garden~

Since the prince visited on New Year’s Eve, a special New Year’s Eve dinner was offered that night~~~ at 1999++ per person, where ++ stands for 10% service charge and 7% government tax. The meal was a five-course dinner with a choice for each course.

To be honest, the prince barely remembers the taste of the meal because the highlight of the night wasn’t the food, but the strings of glowing lanterns in the sky~ That’s right—they were sky lanterns. Chiang Mai has them too, which is both magical and familiar~

The prince even mustered up the courage to join some tourists from Singapore and release a sky lantern together. (Check prices) The price of sky lanterns is divided as follows: large ones cost 40 baht, small ones 25 baht.

Of course, he also released lanterns with media friends from Taiwan.

That night, we wrote our wishes all over the lanterns~ hehe… ready to take off~

Aside from the lanterns, there was also the essential fireworks show for New Year’s Eve~ The fireworks that year were launched from the riverbank right across from the resort—super clear and absolutely stunning~

The prince wished to reach new heights and achieve his dreams sooner, and also hoped that his family and friends could live each day safely and happily. With New Year’s Eve just around the corner again, if you’d rather not watch the Taipei 101 fireworks on TV every year, why not check out Chiang Mai? (Check prices)
