This unnamed scallion pancake stall has been around for 27 years, with limited daily servings — come late and you’ll miss out. Made to order and pan-fried without lard, the thick, soft, and chewy pancake crust is a local Tainan favorite for afternoon tea.

It’s right next to a convenience store, so it’s pretty easy to find.

An affordable street food gem that many say offers great value for money.

From the dough-making process to the oil used for frying on-site, all use soybean salad oil — no lard. Egg and dairy-free vegetarians can enjoy it with peace of mind.

Made to order and pan-fried; expect to wait a bit when it’s busy.

The size is similar to regular store-bought scallion pancakes.

Take a bite and you’ll realize this pancake crust is something special — thick, soft, chewy, and nothing like your average store-bought version.

The pancake is generously stuffed with scallions — no skimping here.
