Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
In the past, if passengers were unable to board their flights due to certain reasons, they could get a refund or switch to other flights (within one year). However, on the 21st, the Civil Aeronautics Administration announced that from now onfor any statutory three-day or longer consecutive holidays as well as temporary extra flights arranged for passenger transportation needs, a “void after expiry” usage restriction can be added to the tickets, the Civil Aeronautics Administration hopes this will significantly reduce the occurrence of passengers failing to show up for their booked flights (No Show), ensuring that those who truly need a seat can secure one.
Additionally, previously both domestic and international discounted fares required 30 days and 15 days respectively after being reported to the Civil Aeronautics Administration for record before taking effect. The administration has now revised the rules so that discounted fares can take effect the day after being reported. This means passengers can immediately enjoy the discounts offered by airlines, and there will also be greater flexibility in the sale of both international and domestic flight tickets in the future.
