Officially opens in January next year!! Chimei Museum to open online reservations tomorrow

The Chimei Museum, built and donated to the Tainan City Government by Chimei Enterprise founder Robert Hsu Wen-long, will open on New Year’s Day of next year (2015). Entry will be by reservation only, and online registration will officially begin tomorrow (December 1). The full admission price is NT$200, so travelers interested should take note.

Located in Tainan Metropolitan Park, the Chimei Museum’s main building cost nearly NT$2 billion to construct and houses a collection of around 13,000 cultural artifacts. The museum’s reservation system will open for online booking on December 1, with free admission during the official opening in January. Ticket fees will begin in February, with the general public full fare set at NT$200. For reservation details, please visit the official website.
