The shabby old house was packed with loud, lively chatter, creating an exceptionally bustling atmosphere. Three girls who looked and acted like elementary school students stood out a bit in this scene. After waiting outside for quite a while, they were finally seated at a round table on the second floor. Passing by several lively drinking parties on the first floor, and seeing walls covered with old movie posters, the environment and vibe were delightfully old-school, filled with hearty laughter.
Ordering is done with a single white sheet of paper with black text. The stir-fried small dishes come in large (NT$230) and small (NT$150) portions, featuring vegetables, fish, and meat, as well as the legendary pork lard fried rice. Brown pork lard is poured over white rice — so this is what pork lard fried rice looks like. The betel nut flower here is served as a cold dish, a tangy and spicy appetizer. The standout dish, highly praised and even requested for an encore, was the stir-fried green beans — richly flavored and incredibly tasty, making it impossible to stop eating them one after another. We also ordered a bunch of random small dishes like grilled milkfish belly and preserved radish omelet. At this point, having a beer seemed like the perfect choice, but in the end, the girls did what girls do — we ordered soda and clinked glasses.
