Hot Springs + Medical Aesthetics + Health Checkups in One: Taipei International Healthcare Travel to Open

Providing medical and health checkup services in a hot spring hotel? This brand-new business concept is set to surprise travelers. Entrusted by the Taipei City Government, the Beitou Health Management Hospital and the Beitou Sir Hotel have jointly built the “Taipei International Healthcare Travel,” which took six years and 700 million NTD to construct. It is expected to officially open on December 20, 2014, becoming Taiwan’s first tourist hotel integrating health checkups, medical aesthetics, and hot springs.

In addition to hot spring rooms, spas, fitness rooms, and gyms, the “Taipei International Healthcare Travel” uniquely offers an in-house medical health management team providing high-precision imaging medicine, painless narrow-band endoscopy, aesthetic medicine, health management, and a wellness promotion center—merging health management, medical aesthetics, and hot spring hotel services into one seamless offering.

Director Sun Tinglong of the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism said: “By combining the charm of Beitou with technology-driven health checkups, health management, aesthetic medicine, and a full-service hot spring hotel experience, we aim to create the Taipei International Healthcare Travel as the ‘Taipei 101’ of the medical tourism industry and a new urban highlight.”
