More and more dining options in Taoyuan – Five major chain restaurants open at JC PARK Taoyuan Springtime Mall

Taoyuan is no longer a food desert anymore. In addition to numerous local snacks, major chain restaurant brands have been setting up shops in Taoyuan. At the recently opened JC PARK Taoyuan Springtime Mall, for instance, five popular chain dining restaurants have moved in, including the highly sought-after Kura Sushi and SANHE Yuan.

Kura Sushi
The second Kura Sushi store in the Greater Taoyuan area, “Kura Sushi Taoyuan Springtime Road Branch,” will officially open on August 22. Though its location is somewhat far from Taoyuan Railway Station, sushi lovers in Taoyuan District won’t need to travel all the way to Zhongli or Linkou to enjoy it. During the opening period, customers can enjoy a 10% discount on meals by participating in the Facebook event.

PUTIEN
The Chinese cuisine brand “PUTIEN,” introduced to Taiwan via agent Wang Group, has its flagship store in Singapore that earned one Michelin star in the “Jiak Kim Road” edition of the Singapore Michelin Guide. PUTIEN’s dishes blend flavors from laksa, Peranakan, and Nyonya cuisines of Singapore. Dishes like “Very Singaporean” and “Top 10 PUTIEN Specialties” are must-tries. Chef Wang Yingqin recommends Crispy Fried Taro Heart and Premium Spicy Pork Knuckle as top picks.

SANHE Yuan
“SANHE Yuan,” already well-known in the Greater Taipei area, is a must-visit spot for foodies. Scroll through Instagram, and you’ll be flooded with images of its cute buns—fun, colorful, and creatively shaped desserts that are super Instagrammable, combining great taste with share-worthy looks, making them irresistible to diners. Now, friends in Taoyuan can enjoy them too.

Shabushabu Yamadaya
Founded in 1966 in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, Shabushabu Yamadaya is Japan’s largest tonkatsu (Japanese pork cutlet) chain, with nearly 400 locations. It also has branches in Taiwan and South Korea, with continued expansion. Operating in Taiwan for over 10 years, the pork used here comes from pigs raised for 210 days and undergoes aging to enhance flavor and texture.

Yunomido Japanese Hot Pot Specialty Store
Yunomido Japanese Hot Pot is a Japanese brand with over 350 stores across Japan. It chose Taiwan as its first overseas location in 2014 and currently has nine branches in Taiwan.
