The Taichung bubble tea shop “Qingshui Senjicha” is often recommended by locals. The owner says their signature “Devil Boba” requires constant cooling and reheating during the cooking process to maintain the chewy texture of the boba and infuse the black sugar flavor. On average, it takes four hours to cook a pot of boba with black sugar until it's ready to serve.

The rich aroma of black, green, oolong, and green teas, paired with a whole bottle of high-quality fresh milk (haogao fresh milk, hailed as the “LV of the milk world”), plus the sweet black sugar devil boba, make this drink incredibly satisfying. Since the boba is already sweet from the black sugar, no extra sugar is added — you can only adjust the ice level. Each cup comes with a full glass bottle of haogao fresh milk. If you choose “slightly iced” or “no ice,” the amount of milk remains fixed, so the cup won’t be filled to the brim.

This cup of “Mango Green Tea” is bursting with fruit — super generous portions! Taichung’s Qingshui is home to the well-known Huadelai, a must-try drink on the local's list. Prices range from NT$25 to NT$60 per drink. The once super popular mango green tea had nearly half the cup filled with fresh mango — incredibly generous, and almost every sip includes mango flesh, offering excellent value for money. Unfortunately, this season’s mango green tea has ended, but passion fruit green tea is still available, another fan-favorite recommended by netizens.

Chunfanghao is named after the owner’s father, and it’s famous in Taichung’s drink scene for its retro floral-designed cups that hold aromatic, premium teas. It has gained popularity among locals and even attracted visitors from out of town, making it one of Taichung’s must-drink beverages.

Chunfanghao offers six signature drinks: the girls’ favorite Jade Lotus Aloe Honey, the richly fragrant Winter Melon Tieguanyin, the refreshing Sugarcane Green Tea, Sesame Fresh Milk Tea, Sweet Potato Pearl Fresh Milk Tea, and Purple Sweet Potato Fresh Milk Tea. These create unique flavor profiles that are refreshing and not overly sweet, winning over many Taichung locals. This year, the brand has begun expanding to other counties and cities — you can now enjoy it in Taipei, New Taipei, Tainan, and Hsinchu too!
