Celebrate Christmas with Tangyuan (sweet rice balls)! The Yingge Ceramics Museum makes two wishes come true in one go.

As the end of 2014 approaches, followed by the Winter Solstice and Christmas, the Yingge Ceramics Museum will hold a Neighborhood Festival on December 20, inviting the public to gather and enjoy tangyuan together. In addition, there will be Christmas activities for everyone to participate in, hoping to bring warmth during the cold winter.

The Yingge Ceramics Museum, operated by the New Taipei City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs, will host an event from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the 20th at the Ceramics Art Park.“Yingge Ceramics Museum Neighborhood Festival”The event will offer 300 kilograms of sweet and savory tangyuan for free to the public, along with performances by folk singers. Interested individuals are welcome to join in the celebration of the “Yingge Ceramics Museum Neighborhood Festival.”

Additionally, in celebration of Christmas, the museum will specially host interactions with Santa Claus in the lobby at the top of every hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 20 (Saturday) and 21 (Sunday). Children shouldn’t miss this chance to take photos with Santa Up！ Besides various acrobatic performances, there will also be opportunities to receive mystery small gifts. Most uniquely, this year features the only “ceramic Christmas tree” in Taiwan,“Ceramic Christmas Tree”standing over 4.1 meters tall, made up of 999 pink and white ceramic butterflies paired with 99 ceramic mugs.
