Hong Kong 2015 New Year’s Eve Fireworks to Feature Snowfall and Aroma Effects

Watching fireworks in Hong Kong is one of the key New Year’s Eve highlights many Taiwanese travelers plan for. The Hong Kong Tourism Board will hold a large-scale countdown celebration event titled “New Year • New World • Hong Kong Countdown 2015” on the evening of December 31 to welcome 2015. This year’s event will weave together fireworks, lights, and music into a spectacular pyrotechnic musical show, enhanced with snowfall and aroma effects. In addition to enjoying a close-up view, audiences will experience a multi-sensory celebration unlike any previous year.

The fireworks display will center around the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with fireworks also launched over the water and from the rooftops of several buildings in Wan Chai and Admiralty, illuminating the night sky over Victoria Harbour. This year’s show will especially feature ring-shaped patterns and rainbow-colored fireworks, offering audiences a first rainbow of 2015. The large LED screen on the façade of the Convention and Exhibition Centre will also display vibrant images and multilingual greetings, further enhancing the overall visual spectacle.
