Hsinchu Qingcao Lake Recreation Center Begins Trial Operation – Try the Super Cool “Stand-Up Paddleboarding”!

Adventure sports enthusiasts, this is for you. The “Qingcao Lake Water Recreation Center” in Hsinchu will begin trial operation on September 2nd and officially open on the 16th. Visitors can not only enjoy the scenic views around Qingcao Lake but also experience the cutting-edge“stand-up paddleboarding,”and with the surrounding tourist attractions, the site is expected to become a new hub for local tourism.

With stable water conditions and minimal large waves, the center plans to invite top stand-up paddleboarding players from across the country in the future. A full range of professional courses will also be developed, aiming to turn the site into Taiwan’s largest dedicated training base for the sport. Meanwhile, during the trial period, discounted experience prices will be offered. From September 3rd to 15th, an 15% discount will be applied, and on the opening day, an exciting water polo competition will be held.

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that Qingcao Lake’s natural advantages provide an excellent environment for water sports. In the future, more leisure elements such as lakeside walking trails, nearby hotels, and scenic restaurants will be added. This will not only promote urban sports culture but also create a new highlight for tourism in Hsinchu.
