AirAsia has won "World's Best Low-Cost Airline" for six consecutive years; plane goes missing, shocking the world

AirAsia (AirAsia) reported on the 28th that a flight from Surabaya, Indonesia to Singapore had gone missing, which shocked the public upon the news release. In its 13 years of operation, AirAsia has not only been selected multiple times as Asia's best low-cost carrier (LCC), but has also been ranked "World's Best Low-Cost Airline" by Skytrax's annual World Airline Survey for six consecutive years since 2009.

The Malaysia-based AirAsia operates an extensive route network in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Currently, the two direct routes operated by AirAsia from Taoyuan both fly to Malaysia—one to Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, and the other to Kuala Lumpur—making it one of the low-cost carriers with favorable passenger reviews.

Headquartered in London, UK, Skytrax’s Global Airline Survey has published annual rankings of global airlines and international airports since 1999. AirAsia has been named "World's Best Low-Cost Airline" by Skytrax’s annual World Airline Survey for six consecutive years since 2009, winning the award for its product and service quality.
