LEGO Becomes a Real “House” – Opens in September in Its Birthplace, Billund, Denmark

According to Lonely Planet, the LEGO House designed by Bjarke Ingels will open on September 28 this year in Billund, Denmark — the birthplace of LEGO. The long-awaited toy bricks have now become architecture!

The space totals approximately 12,000 square meters. This unique building consists of 21 interlocking spaces, with an exterior that looks exactly like LEGO bricks. The bricks and architecture are perfectly integrated.

The interior of the building is divided by color — for example, red represents the Creative Zone, blue the Cognitive Zone, green the Social Zone, and yellow the Emotional Zone, among others. Each zone has its own distinct features.

In addition to the LEGO play areas that kids will love, the interior also includes three different restaurants, meeting rooms, and 2,000 square meters of public space. Visitors interested in learning about the history of LEGO can also find related exhibitions in the underground area.
