So romantic! Taiwan's longest sky ladder — Nantou's "Bridge to the Sky" lights up for New Year’s Eve

As the whole of Taiwan counts down to the New Year, the popularSky Bridge in Nantou City and the European-style castle scenic bridge have also been lit up with dazzling lights to match the festive atmosphere of New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day, making it a wonderfully romantic spot for couples.

The Sky Bridge in Nantou City is the longest sky ladder in Taiwan, built within the Bagua Mountain Valley, spanning across mountains and connecting peaks. From a distance, it resembles a gentle smile hanging in the valley, which locals call the “Smiling Sky Ladder.” Stretching 200 meters in length and suspended 70 meters above the valley floor, walking on the Sky Bridge feels like stepping into the clouds and entering the sky, offering breathtaking views of the majestic valley.

At night, the illuminated landscape lighting around the park becomes the Sky Bridge’s new look, and the nearby European-style castle scenic platform also sparkles brilliantly, offering views of the beautiful scenery of Changhua. The vast Changhua Plain spreads out unobstructed before your eyes, and if you look closely, you can even spot the high-speed rail tracks running through it.
